Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid based injectable dermal filler used to add volume to the face and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It is fully FDA and MHRA approved and has been used since 2006 to treat all areas of the face. There are a range of Juvederm products available, most of which include Lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to reduce any discomfort throughout treatment.

Hydrate – Juvederm Hydrate uses hyaluronic acid (HA) and the antioxidant mannitol to prevent the deterioration of HA by free radicals in order to prolong results from treatment for the patient. Hydrate was designed to vastly improve skin hydration and elasticity in the face, neck, back of hands, and décolletage and was introduced in 2010. Results typically last between four and six months and are noticeable within two days.

Smile – Juvederm Ultra Smile is a lip filler containing local anaesthetic to reduce any discomfort during treatment. Smile is a targeted gel treatment for lip volume enhancement that yields instant results and can last up to twelve months depending on the individual.

Ultra 2 – Juvederm Ultra 2 contains a lower concentration of hyaluronic acid which makes it perfect for moderate lines on the face, generally around the lips and eyes. This can also be used to enhance contour of the lips. Results are noticeable immediately after treatment and can last up to a year, varying from patient to patient.

Ultra 3 – Juvederm Ultra 3 is a thicker gel, making it perfect for medium to deep lines, such as smile lines (nasolabial folds). It can also be used for contouring and volumizing in the corners of lips and on skin depressions like scars. Results are immediate and can last between six and twelve months.

Ultra 4 – Juvederm Ultra 4 is a robust gel used on deep folds and wrinkles, as well as adding volume to the cheeks and chin. Ultra 4 is ideal for patients who have may have lost weight and as such could have hollow-looking cheeks. Effects are evident straight after treatment and can last up to a year. This filler should not be used on glabella lines (between eyebrows) or under the eyes.

Volbella with Lidocaine – Juvederm Volbella with Lidocaine is a newer filler for the peri-oral area (around the mouth) that has many uses. These include reducing smoker’s lines (vertical lines around the mouth), volumizing lips to make them fuller, enhancement of the cupid’s bow, and redefining the vermilion border (edge of lips). This product has a lower concentration of hyaluronic acid, making it a smoother gel that gives natural looking results instantly. These results can last up to a year depending on the patient.

Volift Retouch with Lidocaine – Juvederm Volift Retouch is a smaller syringe of Volift (0.55ml as opposed to 1ml) for repeat treatment using Volift in order to reduce wastage of materials.

Volift with Lidocaine – Juvederm Volift with Lidocaine is excellent for nasolabial folds (between nose and mouth) with results lasting for up to fifteen months for some patients.

Voluma with Lidocaine – Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine is best used to treat age-related loss of volume and can be used effectively even in challenging areas. Recontouring and restoring facial volume in the cheekbone and chin, it is proven to last up to two years in some patients and has instantly noticeable results.
